FEDERAL TAX CREDIT

The Investment Tax Credit allows eligible taxpayers to deduct a percentage of the cost of installing a solar energy system from their federal income taxes.

MASSACHUSETTS TAX CREDIT

The Massachusetts solar tax credit allows eligible homeowners to claim a credit of up to 15% of the total cost of their solar energy system installation, with a maximum credit value of $1,000 per year.

LOCAL SOLAR REBATE

In 2017, the Town of Nantucket launched a local solar rebate program offering rebates of up to $6,000 are provided to cover a portion of the costs of successfully-installed solar systems.
